Newborn Photographer’s Practice | Stand In Baby
This is my Stand In Baby. It is a neat tool for photographers to use for infant posing practice. It has the weight and joints so that it feels and moves much like a real newborn! I decided to take it out to use in one of my new prop set ups.
In order for me to get those cute poses, it’s important that I practice and invest in education. I have attended many workshops and invested in the time it takes to learn infant anatomy and safety. I have been certified by the Red Cross in infant CPR and first aid. Getting sweet images is my goal but keeping baby safe is my priority!!
I love natural light when I can use it! Outdoor infant sessions can really only happen during a few months out of the year. When newborns can stay content and comfortable I can fill a gallery with amazing sweet images!

I have carefully put together a newborn welcome guide for my families. This guide will help parents prepare for their session and learn what to expect. To find out more about the two different sessions I offer to my newborn clients, I have put together this post to help in deciding which one is best for you!
I would love to hear what you think in the comments below!
