A Beautiful Sacrament in Belews Creek, North Carolina
and I had the honor and privilege to document this joyous occasion for the Wimbush family. Jack, a sweet 4 year old from Boston Massachusetts, was the reason for this gathering as he was being baptized. This backyard baptism was made even more special as the minister is Claire, his aunt and Godmother! The ceremony took place under a large and historic tree in Jane Ann’s, Jacks grandmother, front yard. This tree holds a very special place in the Wimbush family’s heart and stands tall, almost like a protector in front of the house.
His family all came together to celebrate Jack. This was the first time they had all been together since the pandemic caused most of them to remain distanced. I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent with them. They were all so sweet and loving. Jane Ann’s property is like an oasis, tucked back in Belews Creek, away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the world. It was so serine and quiet, the perfect place for a backyard baptism.
As you will see, the kiddos were a hoot and the dogs were so much fun! I have been wanting a Golden-doodle for years! Now I just need to convince my hubby, and Bella (our Shitzu-Poodle) that its a great idea! It was truly an honor to be a part of this family’s memories and I will be forever grateful for them inviting me in to document this event for them.
