Outdoor Session | Family of Four in High Point, NC

I had the absolute pleasure of getting to know this sweet family of four this weekend! They drove over an hour to meet me in High Point, NC for a mini family session. A family outdoor session is my favorite because the natural light from a setting sun can not be replicated! Here is a newly wed session at the same park!

My heart was touched by how loving this family was! When mom, Coleen, reached out to me wanting me to photograph her family she explained that they hadn’t had professional images taken since their wedding. I find that this is more common than not, and I am so grateful that they decided to document this stage in their life.

The power of annual family photos!

I could go on and on about how powerful yearly photo sessions are by looking back at my families lack of them. I wish I had invested in them, like my clients do.

So, let’s meet this sweet family! Grace, 3 and Matthew, 9 months with Dad and Mom. How precious are these two blonde kiddos?!

Grace was full of energy the whole time. She would say things like, “Jennafin let me show you my moves!” and of course I was like “yes!! Let’s see them!” She is a fun and energetic three year old, and her brother, a ladies man! He loves the camera and did the whole, head tilt side smile thing that I remember my boys used to do at that age. And those eye!! Who could resist?! Am I right? Such a cutie 🙂 He was taking a snack break here! haha 🙂

I was blessed to be able to capture these sweet images to commemorate their son in heaven. This sweet teddy bear holds a very dear place in their hearts and is a cherished part of their family story.

It’s always exciting to meet new clients, especially sweet families like this one. I can’t wait to watch them grow and be a part of their story for years to come. After delivering their outdoor session gallery I got the sweetest email from Coleen:

“So firstly, before going to bed last night Grace told me she missed “Jennafin”. How sweet is that? Secondly, I can’t stop crying over these pictures. They are amazing and I’m so glad we did this!! Thank you so very much. These pictures are going to be some of our most loved pictures!”

Okay, so I have to admit something. As most know (because it’s obvious, haha), I love photography. It combines my love of art and my internal need to create. But, the why behind why I am a photographer and not just a hobbiest, you probably don’t know. It is emails like that. I believe that God gave me a talent to share with the world and bless the lives of as many people as I can. Creating images for families to cherish for a life time is the most fulfilling thing I could do with my God given talent. Touching the lives of my clients and becoming a part of their journey by telling their story fills my heart with so much joy.

So, thank you Colleen for allowing me to be a part of your family! I am truly blessed <3
