Samantha Pelc | Campbell University

Graduating amidst a crisis.

So, let’s first acknowledge how amazing it is to graduate with a Doctorate, then think of the amount of work and dedication that went into achieving this degree. So, congratulations Dr. Samantha Pelc!!

Seniors across the world are in this difficult situation as we all are feeling the strain of the current medical crisis. Samantha Pelc was looking for a way to create special memories for her and her family as she graduated. Even though she wouldn’t be attending a traditional ceremony, she is remains positive!

She is from the small town of Stokesdale, nestled in between Greensboro and Kernersville, North Carolina. Samantha currently resides in Raleigh, NC and loves the downtown lifestyle that comes with big city living. She enjoys Netflix, puzzles and any DIY project that she finds on Pinterest!

This amazingly smart, beautiful and humble graduate is an incredible woman with big dreams that go far beyond earning a Doctorate. She started her academic career at the University of South Carolina after graduating from Bishop McGuiness, a Catholic High School in Kernersville NC. Samantha then transferred to Campbell before earning her undergraduate degree, missing out on the opportunity of walking the stage.

The road to her doctorate

While at Campbell working toward her Doctorate of Pharmacy, she met an amazing group of friends which she lovingly refers to as her “pharmily.” She made memories that will last a lifetime! After officially graduating in May of this year she hopes to become a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE). CDE’s primarily helping patients with diabetes management. She attributes her success in school to her love of coffee! She was even voted as “Most Caffeinated” her freshman year and says that it’s “truly fitting!”

We met up in a grove of amazing trees in Kernersville, NC. They were blooming the most gorgeous spring florals just as the sun was setting. And I am so excited about how these turned out!

Samantha says, ” I choose to thank my Mom and Dad for supporting me my whole academic career. Whether it was listening as a cried because of stress or paying my rent, they were always there as my biggest fans.” It’s easy to see that Mom and Dad Pelc are so proud!

Congrats Samantha, and good luck in you future ventures. I am certain that where ever life takes you, you will impact lives and excel in everything God has in store for you!
